Now that it’s finally over, you have to wonder, will we see Hillary as the v.p nominee sending Clinton-haters everywhere into a frenzy against Obama too, or will Obama turn away from the millions of blue collar Clinton voters and go with another possibility? This post is by no means exhaustive, and I for one have been intellectually salivating since Sam Nunn’s name starting making the rounds. I have not been at all excited about the idea of Clinton as a v.p., until this morning when I thought about it in a different way.
Much like Dick Cheney is to George Bush, Hillary could probably do a pretty good job playing the “attack dog” for Obama (Please refrain from sexist jokes). While I don’t like the idea of a v.p. playing this role at all, it really showed when John Edwards came off looking like Bo Peep next to Darth Maul in the debates in 2004.
Hillary, on the other hand, doesn’t mind getting nasty, has the lack of shame that comes with the Clinton name, and she could probably do a pretty good job against whomever John McCain chooses. I would think that she would rhetorically trounce any of the governors that McCain is considering, and we already know she is pretty good at talking up her experience to be ready to answer the phone at 3 a.m.

No thanks.
Adding her does not jive with the message of new politics and a change in Washington. The majority of the millions of people who voted for her (quit trumpeting the Terry McAuliffe “18 million” line… that number is incredibly powerwashed), will need to be coaxed but will ultimately support Obama as his views and ideals are quite similar to Clinton’s. Granted, there are Hillary partisans who are nuts but who cares. I strongly believe that there will not be enough of them to swing this election.

Yeah, I’m generally with you. Maureen Dowd also made a good point about how dirty Bill Clinton’s business dealings would make an Obama administration, not to mention any scandals that the media is waiting for.
I didn’t use McAuliffe’s number, because I don’t trust anything I hear from anyone associated with the Clintons. But, anyway you count it, millions of blue collar voters did vote for Hillary.

“Maureen Dowd also made a good point”
I disagree with the assertion made in the above sentence, as it has never been the case nor ever approached being the case.

Hey, just because she is the liberal Ann Coulter doesn’t mean she can’t be insightful every now and then.
Here it is, in its mock-drama glory:
